H.Removals is a London-based man and van service covering all seven East London boroughs: Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham and Havering. We handle house, flat and office removals, single-item collections, IKEA and store pick-ups and flat-pack assembly, priced by the hour with a fixed quote agreed before the van moves.
If your move starts or finishes in any of these, we cover it. Moves between East London and the rest of the UK are quoted as a fixed price for the whole journey.
Postcodes listed are the principal districts in each borough, not an exhaustive list. If you are not sure whether yours is covered, send the postcode over and we will confirm.
The things that change how long a job takes here, and how we plan around them.
Much of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham is CPZ. Where there is no loading bay within reach we will tell you before the day whether a bay suspension is worth arranging, and it is charged at cost rather than marked up.
Walthamstow, Leyton and Bow are full of them. Wardrobes and sofa beds often need dismantling to get down a turn in the stairs, which we allow for in the quote rather than discovering on the day.
Stratford, Canning Town and Canary Wharf blocks usually require a booked service lift and a loading bay slot. Check with your building manager early, as weekend slots go first.
All of East London sits inside the ULEZ zone. Where a ULEZ charge applies to your move it is passed on at cost and never marked up. The Congestion Charge zone does not reach East London, so it rarely applies to a local move.
A man and van in East London is charged by the hour, at a rate set by the van size, with a minimum number of hours per booking. A local move within East London is usually quicker, and therefore cheaper, than one crossing the city, because travel time between the two addresses is part of the billed time. Our full rate card and estimator gives a range before you commit to anything.
Yes. Stratford is in Newham, Walthamstow in Waltham Forest and Romford in Havering, and all three boroughs are covered, along with Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham. That is every East London borough.
Often, yes. Same-day and last-minute bookings are taken subject to what is already in the diary that day, and being based in London means an East London job is usually reachable at short notice. Call rather than email if the move is today.
Yes. Store collections are one of our regular jobs, and IKEA Greenwich is just across the river from East London. We collect, deliver, and can assemble the flat-pack once it is in the room you want it.
Yes. Every job carries Goods in Transit insurance and we hold Public Liability insurance, which applies to all our work across London and the UK, East London included.
Yes. Moves out of East London to anywhere in the UK are quoted as a fixed price for the whole journey rather than by the hour, so traffic and distance cannot push the total up after you have agreed it.
Send the two postcodes and what is going in the van, and we will come back with a fixed price.
